M&A/ Partnerships
- Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. will invest $113.8 million in United Envirotech Ltd. via 2.5% coupon convertible bonds. The investment will support United Envirotech’s expansion in China’s fast growing water industry.

Projects
- Mekorot Development & Enterprise, a spinoff of Israel’s national water agency, will establish the fifth large seawater desalination plant, which will produce 100 million m³/year of water (approximately 15% of domestic water consumption) from 2013 at a rate of NIS 2.4/m³ (US$ 0.67/m³), in Ashdod at a cost of $423 million.
